Privacy Policy

The Application processes data in two main categories to fulfill its core functions:

• Voice Data (Audio): Voice signals from your microphone are processed instantly for real-time simultaneous translation. Raw audio recordings are deleted from our systems as soon as the translation process is complete and are not permanently stored.
• Text Data (Text): The text-converted version of voice and your written messages are stored in our secure database for access to your conversation history and communication continuity.

We collect the following personal information to provide our service:

• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number (optional), preferred language, profile photo (optional).
• Device Information: Device model, operating system, app version, push notification token.
• Communication Data: Contact list (added within app), conversation history, text messages.
• Usage Data: App usage statistics, error reports.

Phone Number (Optional): Users may optionally provide their phone number in their profile settings. This information is used solely for account security purposes (such as two-factor authentication) and is never shared with third parties or used for marketing.

We do not access your phone contacts or other device data without your explicit permission.

Location Data: Giizo Connect does not collect or access your location data under any circumstances.

Giizo Connect requests access to your device's microphone to provide voice calling and simultaneous translation features.

• Your microphone is only activated during an active call.
• Processed voice data is quickly converted to text in the background, and the original audio file is immediately destroyed.
• The microphone is not used when the app is in the background or when no call is being made.

Voice Profile (Voice Clone): When you optionally create a voice profile, a reference voice recording is stored on our servers. This recording:

• Is used solely to clone your own voice for translation purposes.
• Is stored securely with AES-256 encryption.
• Is permanently deleted when you delete your voice profile or your account.
• Is never shared with third parties.

Giizo Connect uses AI models on our infrastructure for real-time speech-to-text, translation, and text-to-speech during calls and messaging.

• Models process your data only to deliver the communication service.
• Your data is never used for advertising profiling and is not sold to third parties.

Your data security is our top priority:

• Encryption: All text content and conversation histories stored in our database are protected with industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
• Transfer Security: All data transfers are encrypted with TLS 1.3.
• Token Security: Your authentication credentials are stored in encrypted storage on your device.
• Device Encryption: All authentication credentials and session tokens stored on your device are protected using platform-specific secure encrypted storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).
• Infrastructure: Our servers are hosted in security-certified data centers with regular security audits.

You have full control over your data:

• Right of Access: You can access your stored data through the application.
• Right to Delete: You can permanently delete your conversation history and messages at any time.
• Account Deletion: You can completely delete your account. After the deletion request, your data is permanently removed from all our systems within 30 days.
• In-App Data Deletion: You can request data deletion directly from within the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
• Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data.
• Right to Rectification: You can update your profile information at any time.

• Voice data: Deleted instantly upon processing completion — not stored.
• Text data: Permanently deleted when user deletes or 30 days after account deletion.
• Device information: Deleted when device registration is removed or account is deleted.
• Phone number: Deleted when removed by the user or upon account deletion.
• Usage data: Stored anonymously for a maximum of 12 months.

Only data essential for service delivery is retained; data that is no longer needed is periodically cleaned.

Our application uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): Used to send push notifications. Your notification token is shared with Firebase.
• AI Models: Models used for translation and speech recognition run on our own infrastructure; your data is not sent to external AI providers.

Your data is never sold or shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies under any circumstances.

Giizo Connect is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If we become aware of such a situation, we will immediately delete the relevant data.

Your data is processed in full compliance with the following legal regulations:

• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): The rights of our users in the EU/EEA are protected under GDPR.
• KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law - Law No. 6698): Data of our users in Turkey is processed in accordance with KVKK principles.

Under both regulations, users have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, and data portability.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will notify you through in-app notifications or email. The updated policy takes effect on the date of publication.
